Halloween for me is all about having fun and I want to be having fun all year round, I had a great time looking for all the items in the display in the image to help you think about making your own displays, either big or small.
I picked a Halloween display completely at Random and broke it down so you can all see how possible it is, I was going to say "How easy it is", but I can't stand people who tell me something is easy and I won't patronize you by saying it either, but hopefully we can help you feel a bit more comfortable, give you some ideas and have some fun even just thinking about it.
Making a haunted room display with Amazon products is within a reasonable budget.
The skeleton is behind a cauldron, when staging the display you may want to hide things behind other things, the cauldron in this display hides what the skeleton is sitting on. A milk crate or a small box may work well and you could cover it with a blanket or a sheet or if you have a rickety old chair, better still!
In the display picture at the top of the page, the skeleton has witch hair, I found an amazing-looking low-price wig at 13 dollars! There are actually 22 colors too! Seems like a good cosplay starter wig too.
Let's break down the room in the picture, there is a poseable skeleton, assuming it's around a 5-footer so I had a quick look and found one that is $49US, it even comes with a pirate patch and bandanna!
If you are looking to scale down your Halloween display and have a tighter budget we found a 3-foot posable skeleton for 20 Bucks!! - It seemed a little less on detail, the only color was the black nose and eyes but you could dirty it up with a lot of different things from tea stains, paints, or cheaper still ACTUAL dirt!

The best cauldron I could find for replicating this display is not fantastic but it's a cauldron that is inflatable, waterproof, and can double as a drinks cooler all for under 20 bucks, inflatable is great also for storage, and speaking of storage and a seat for the skeleton...
...I found some collapsable crates for under 20 dollars which are easy to store and could even be used to store the display items when it's time to pack away, who are we kidding, it's an all-year-round feature!

In the top picture, the skeleton does not have a witches hat but I did a quick search and there are some amazing witches hats, and a 10 witches hat pack for $8.99
I'm not going to cover the furniture in the display, but we can see black netting on the walls and lamps to dirty down the walls and make it look a little dark and dingy.
Searching dark Halloween lace on Amazon came up with some amazing finds, I could have really gone down the rabbit hole on that but bringing you articles is about staying on task. Some of these are amazing, however, I think it is best for you to explore what works for you on this one. I liked the lampshade lace cover for 10 dollars, Or a set of 3 Halloween lampshade covers for 13 dollars which personally I thought, was not as good, but you get 3!
The best value score we discovered was the Halloween Lace 5 pack with 36pcs Scary 3D Bats here!
We found the almost identical 7-inch Creative Retro Telephones European Resin Rotary Dialing Telephone for 19 bucks and some various other prop phones including another vintage style phone prop by the same vendor.
And no witch display can be complete without a familiar and a witches trusty "clean" mode of transportation,
The Broom Broom Broooom!, Actually, The Broom choices are amazing from the classic, classic costume all the way to the Spirit Halloween Hocus Pocus Prop Broom, I almost spent one hour just looking before I realized I was on a (Self-imposed) deadline!
In the image, the witch has the classic skeletal dog prop which is pretty inexpensive but personally, it is too common and I thought I would see this come up first on my search for skeletal dog props but instead, I found a good variation (Click images):
One dog I thought was very much like the HMV dog and if you know who that is then a gramophone prop might also be in order. This let me to Bluetooth gramophone speakers and all kinds of cool gadgets but I'm on task still!
The last one actually comes with a poseable skeleton. But who says the familiar needs to be a dog, the classic witches cat is never a bad choice, or more of a wizarding owl vibe or even an Edgar Alen Poe'esq Raven!

Other staging items, assorted Halloween prop bottles, vials, candle sticks, a metal candelabra 20 bucks, and maybe a few skulls. I found a bag of 10 plastic skulls, a couple of bags, a hot glue gun and I would have such a time!!
Final advice:
Think about what you want to do.
- Scale, size, and space;
Allocate your space, measure it, decide on a scale, think about how to position all the furniture and what you may already have in the way of tablecloths and props, and plan it out either physically or just in your head or with rough sketches and be mindful with a tape measure handy while looking online for props so they fit your scale and also you do not need a room
- Go Big or Go Home? Who says!
There is no reason not to do a miniature version inside something as small as a shoe box, you can put these inside a perspex display and enjoy it all year round!
Even getting a premade display, some paints, and accessories you could "Ween it up a notch!"
